Safe pedestrian-friendly neighborhoods are a priority for our walkable community. The Borough’s Sidewalk Inspection and Maintenance Program plays a key role in meeting this objective. Specifically, the program was developed to guarantee barrier-free public access throughout the community for pedestrians of all ages and varying physical limitations. The Borough’s program originated in 1985 and was modified by Council in 1997 to provide sidewalk inspection on a 10-year rotating basis. (Click on the map for a larger version.)Curb & Swalk Zone Map
